Karen qualified with a Diploma of Occupational Therapy from St. Loye’s School of Occupational Therapy, Exeter in 1985. Prior to working with Obair as a Hand Therapist, Karen worked within the NHS for 20 years, developing broad physical rehabilitation experience including: orthopaedics, hand and upper limb injuries, splinting, vocational rehabilitation and foot biomechanics.
Using her experience and skills, Karen now delivers Hand and Upper Limb evaluations and treatment programmes for individuals. Karen also has experience of home environment Occupational Therapy evaluations including assessing for and designing major and minor adaptations, such as level access showers, stair lifts and access adaptations.
Karen is a member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists (BAOT), the College of Occupational Therapists special section for Independent Practice and the British Association of Hand Therapists.
