Kay qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1997 and has since worked in a breadth of clinical areas including burns and plastics, hand therapy, orthopaedics, general medical, respiratory, rehabilitation and amputation.

Kay has developed expertise in orthopaedic rehabilitation, general medicine and has a special interest in amputation and prosthetic rehabilitation. She has developed her skills in occupational therapy, rehabilitation management and now specialises in vocational rehabilitation. Kay provides occupational therapy home assessments, vocational rehabilitation assessments, worksite assessments and adaptations and environmental assessment and provision of adaptive equipment.

Kay holds a master’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation and has developed clinical skills and expertise in vocational rehabilitation over the last thirteen years both in the UK and Australia. Kay has extensive experience and skills in work site evaluation, job analysis, facilitating return to work and job retention and in addressing barriers to work.

Kay is an accredited functional capacity evaluator, and a member of the College of Occupational Therapists Specialist Section for Work and also the section for Independent practice.
